Movie of the Week - Man of Steel

Are you excited for the next Superman movie? I know I am! You can catch "Man of Steel" in theaters in two months on June 14th.

There have been a total of 5 Superman movies, not including this one. The first Superman movie came out in 1978. Christopher Reeves played the Superman character all the way up until "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace". The last Superman movie came out in 2006 and it was titled "Superman Returns". Although Superman was played by Brandon Routh and not Christopher Reeves, it was still meant to be a homage sequel to the previous Superman movies.

"Man of Steel" is the first Superman movie without "Superman" in its title. It will restart the Superman series from the beginning by telling the story of how a young boy, Clark Kent (Henry Cavill), learns that he has super powers and is not from this Earth. He must go on a journey to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. On the way, he becomes a symbol of hope and he must fight to save the world.
